The invention relates to a glass window cover as an automobile component. The glass window cover comprises a material saving plate, a protective plate and end plates, wherein the end plates are welded to two ends of the material saving plate and two ends of the protective plate. A connecting plate is arranged at the upper end of the protective plate. Four triangular docking slots are formed in the connecting plate. The material saving plate is positioned opposite to the protective plate. Punching holes are formed in the material saving plate. According to the invention, the protective plate can prevent a glass window from being damaged by sharp objects; through the arrangement of the connecting plate with the butt slots, the glass window cover and a glass window frame can form a protective hood, so that the glass window can be protected. The glass window cover is simple in structure, convenient to operate, and economical and practical in use.
