The tip section of an extension boom (16) of a crane (10) is provided with a stereo camera (30) for measuring the distance from the tip section to an object, and an image-processing controller (60) for obtaining 3D-position information of the object with the crane (10) as the reference therefor, on the basis of measurement data obtained by the measurement to the object by the stereo camera (30). As a result, moving the extension boom (16) makes it possible to obtain 3D-position information for an object in a peripheral area centered on the crane (10).
