An inspection device for use in a fluid container having at least an opening includes a housing sized to fit through the opening. The housing has at least two fluid flow channels extending therethrough, each having an inlet and an outlet, and a pump maintained in the housing within each fluid flow channel. The pumps are selectively controlled to maneuver the housing within the fluid container. The inspection device continues with a method of in-situ inspection of a container having at least one opening to receive a fluid, that includes up-loading a virtual model of the container into a computer, inserting the device into the container, generating a position signal by the device and receiving the position signal on a computer. A virtual image of the device in the virtual model of the container is generated to determine an actual position of the device within the container.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'inspection utilisé dans un récipient de fluide doté d'au moins une ouverture, comprenant un boîtier dimensionné pour s'ajuster à travers l'ouverture. Le boîtier comprend au moins deux canaux d'écoulement fluidique s'étendant dans ce dernier, chacun d'eux étant doté d'une entrée et d'une sortie, et une pompe maintenue dans le boîtier à l'intérieur de chaque canal d'écoulement fluidique. Les pompes sont sélectivement commandées pour manuvrer le boîtier à l'intérieur du récipient fluidique. Le dispositif d'inspection utilise un procédé d'inspection in situ d'un récipient comprenant au moins une ouverture destinée à recevoir un fluide, qui consiste à télécharger un modèle virtuel du récipient dans un ordinateur, à introduire le dispositif dans le récipient, à générer un signal de position au moyen du dispositif et à recevoir le signal de position sur un ordinateur. Une image virtuelle du dispositif dans le modèle virtuel du récipient est générée pour déterminer la position réelle du dispositif à l'intérieur du récipient.
