In aircraft manufacturing, milling is most widely used operation, followed in importance by drilling and tapping; in missile manufacturing major operation is turning, followed by drilling, milling, tapping and grinding; tabulation of aircraft and missile alloys divided into eight groups; non-machining methods of metal removal.
