Read before the North-East Inst. of Engs. and Shipbuilders. A detail which has received less attention in the ship-yard than almost any other. The object of the paper is to draw out information, and to arrive, if possible, at some agreement upon a correct angle of countersink for different sizes of rivets and thickness of plates used in ship-yard work.
