Investigation made primarily to afford comparison between propeller tests in new Propeller Research Tunnel and flight tests and small model tests on propellers; three wood propellers previously tested in flight on VE-7 airplane, tested again on VE-7 airplane in Propeller Research Tunnel; tests made with tail surfaces removed, and with both wings and tail surfaces removed; wings reduced maximum propulsive efficiency about 5 per cent.
