Trend in French industry is towards concentration; there were last year 77 different manufacturers but three of these, Citroen, Renault, and Peugeot, produced 165,000 cars; this places 75 per cent of all production to 4 per cent of manufacturers; of this number Citroen produced 90,000, Renault 45,000, and Peugeot 30,000 cars; four other manufacturers, Berliet, Chenard, Donnet, and Mathis produced in all 32,000 cars.
