Equation is derived which represents vehicle headways as inputs in computer; two alternatives are presented to obtain probabilities of headways for similar field situation; graph presented can be used to establish probabilities of headways less than t seconds for given volume level and to solve equation for probabilities equal to or greater than t seconds.
