Title: Adaptation of virtual veality devices for stroke rehabilitation. Systematic literature review Objective: To review and evaluate adaptation possibilities and efficacy of virtual reality (VR) devices for the upper limb motoric function restoration during post stroke patient’s rehabilitation. Tasks: 1. To analyze and describe the most commonly used rehabilitation VR devices for the upper limb motoric functions of post stroke patients 2. To compare VR devices efficacy with traditional interventions efficacy for patients after stroke motoric functions restoration 3. To compare VR devices used with traditional intervention efficacy with traditional interventions efficacy for patients after stroke motoric functions restoration. Method: Systematic Literature Review. 7 publications were selected in PubMed database, not older than 10 years. Results: In all trials used VR devices working principle is the same: patient movements are displayed on the screen simultaneously. In 4 publications VR based rehabilitation efficacy was compared to traditional intervention efficacy, 3 of them found that rehabilitation using VR is more effective than traditional. Other 3 publications found that there is no significance efficacy difference VR based intervention is added to traditional interventions for patients after stroke motoric functions restoration. Conclusion: 1. In the analyzed trials different virtual reality devices were used, but the working principles of these devices are the same: hand movements are detected by sensors and transmitted to the computer, which displays movement on the screen simultaneously. 2. VR based rehabilitation efficacy were significantly better than traditional interventions efficacy for patients after stroke motoric functions restoration. 3. There was no significant difference found between VR based with traditional interventions rehabilitation and traditional interventions rehabilitation for patients after stroke motoric functions restoration.
