The article describes 3-Dimentional technologies, used in the education sphere, and the EVEIL 3D project, made for developing, testing and implementing of gameplay scenarios for the so-called immersive training in the virtual world. In the e-learning field, Second Life is used as a technological platform for language teaching, as cultural contexts can be used like language learning environment independent of the learners` location. In addition, situations can be presented through simulation of the real world or with the help of audio-visual means, the participants in which are not animated. Twinity is the first 3-Dimentional virtual world simulating real cities on a real scale. Users with realistic avatar can meet in virtual cities like Berlin, Singapore, London, Miami and New York, communicate in different languages or trade virtual real estate and goods. Holodeck is a realistic 3-Dimentional environment, known from the sci-fi movies Star Trek. Through it a kind of modern language laboratory can be created on a high-tech level, where the learners are totally immersed in a virtual world. Due to the increasingly intensive application of the above mentioned technologies in the language learning worldwide, maybe really soon they will be fully integrated in the language learning in Bulgaria.
