In terms of the research deficiency of noise prediction methods on inland waterways in China, the FHWA model was introduced, and its parameters were re-defined. The noise prediction model on inland waterways was established by adding the water surface attenuation correction term based on FHWA model according to the actual environment situation of inland waterways. The noise data of 9 measured points were randomly selected from Shugang Channel in Lianyungang city for modeling verification. The calculated results indicated that the predicted values well fitted with the observed data. It is valuable to the further development for inland waterways noise prediction models in practical situation.
