Wave energy converter (1), comprising a floating unit (2) that floats on or near the fluid surface, wherein a stroke device (7) is movably arranged within the floating unit (2), a generator (26) that is assigned to the floating unit (2) or to the stroke device (7) and that is capable of producing electric energy when driven, and a subsea retardation unit (10) with a rod (12), extending from the subsea retardation unit (10) into the floating unit (2) and connected to the stroke device (7), wherein waves imparting motion on the floating unit (2) cause the floating unit (2) to move relative to the stroke device (7), thus generating a fluid flow capable of driving the generator (26).
L'invention concerne un convertisseur d'énergie houlomotrice (1) qui comprend une unité flottante qui flotte sur ou prés de la surface du liquide ; un dispositif de course (7) qui est disposé de manière mobile à l'intérieur de l'unité flottante (2) ; un générateur (26) qui est associé à l'unité flottante (2) ou au dispositif de course (7) et qui est apte à produire de l'énergie électrique lorsqu'il est entraîné ; et une unité de décélération sous-marine (10) dotée d'une tige (12), s'étendant à partir de ladite unité de décélération sous-marine (10) dans l'unité flottante (2) et reliée au dispositif de course (7). Les vagues communiquant un mouvement sur l'unité flottante (2) amènent celle-ci (2) à se déplacer par rapport au dispositif de course (7), ce qui génère ainsi un écoulement de fluide apte à entraîner le générateur (26).
