Systems and methods for determining a trajectory for an autonomous vehicle (AV). When the AV's on-board system detects another actor near the AV, it will generate a virtual doppelganger that is co-located with the autonomous vehicle. The system will predict possible modalities for the other actor and, for each of the modalities, one or more possible trajectories for the other actor. The system then forecast candidate actions of the virtual doppelganger, each of which corresponds to one or more of the possible trajectories of the other actor. The computing system will then determine candidate trajectories of the autonomous vehicle, and it will select one of the candidate trajectories as a selected trajectory for the autonomous vehicle to follow.
Systèmes et procédés de détermination d'une trajectoire pour un véhicule autonome (AV). Lorsque le système embarqué d'un AV détecte un autre acteur à proximité de l'AV, il va générer un dispositif de double virtuel qui est co-localisé avec le véhicule autonome. Le système va prédire des modalités possibles pour l'autre acteur et, pour chacune des modalités, une ou plusieurs trajectoires possibles destinée(s) à l'autre acteur. Le système prévoit ensuite des actions candidates du double virtuel, dont chacune correspond à une ou plusieurs des trajectoires possibles de l'autre acteur. Le système informatique va ensuite déterminer des trajectoires candidates du véhicule autonome, et va sélectionner l'une des trajectoires candidates en tant que trajectoire sélectionnée devant être suivie par le véhicule autonome.
