System for aiding navigation (1) during a change of direction from a first direction (7) to a second direction (8), characterized in that it comprises a device for calculating a target angle (2) comprising at least one terrestrial mapping (3), an orientation sensor (4) and a calculator (5) able to calculate a target angle (αTarget) between the instantaneous position of the vehicle (7) and a fixed point (P3) of the terrestrial mapping (3) situated in the second direction (8), said system comprising furthermore a visual restitution device (6), receiving the target angle (αTarget) and comprising a substantially linear lighting zone (9) situated within the vehicle in the principal or peripheral field of vision (10) of the driver, the visual information produced by the lighting zone (9) being adapted to indicate continuously the direction towards said fixed point (P3) as a function of the value of the target angle (αTarget).
