To enable automatic driving to be smoothly executed, even when route information is newly obtained.SOLUTION: A route generating device pertaining to the present invention comprises: a vehicle position estimation unit for acquiring the absolute position coordinates of a vehicle acquired from a GNSS system and estimating the relative position of the vehicle with respect to the absolute position coordinates; a route information conversion unit for receiving first route information and converting the first route information into second route information by matching the first route information with high-precision map data; and a map information output unit for outputting map information on the basis of the relative position, the high-precision map data and the second route information. When the first route information is newly obtained and a first data string constituting a portion of the first route information is obtained, the route information conversion unit converts the first data string into the second route information prior to a second data string that is other than the first data string of the newly obtained first route information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】新たに経路情報が得られた場合においても、自動運転を円滑に実行することを可能にする。【解決手段】本発明に係る経路生成装置は、ＧＮＳＳシステムから取得された車両の絶対位置座標を取得するとともに、前記絶対位置座標を基準として前記車両の相対位置を推定する自車位置推定部と、第１経路情報を受信して、前記第１経路情報を高精度地図データとマッチングすることにより前記第１経路情報を第２経路情報にデータ変換する経路情報変換部と、前記相対位置、前記高精度地図データ、及び前記第２経路情報に基づき地図情報を出力する地図情報出力部とを備える。前記経路情報変換部は、前記第１経路情報が新たに得られた場合に、前記第１経路情報の一部を構成する第１データ列が得られた場合に、前記第１データ列を、新たに得られた前記第１経路情報のうち前記第１データ列以外の部分である第２データ列に先行して前記第２経路情報に変換する。【選択図】図４
