This study presents a sensor composite faults estimation and fault-tolerant control (FTC) for a nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model of hypersonic flight vehicle (HFV). A novel generalized fuzzy observer is designed to estimate sensor cascading faults integrating constant offset and time-varying gain faults. Then, a fault accommodation is addressed to compensate the faults through estimation results. The sufficient condition for the existence of the fuzzy observer and controller is derived based on Lyapunov theory. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed fault estimation and FTC scheme.
