This paper considers the control problem of the hypersonic flight vehicle with complex faults. Based on the analysis of engineering application requirements, the research progress of fault-tolerant control methods with various complex faults is summarized. Firstly, according to the characteristics of hypersonic flight vehicle, the existing faults are classified and the meaning of composite faults is explained. Secondly, this paper describes the concept and classification of fault-tolerant control, summarizes the research status of the hypersonic flight vehicle fault diagnosis technology and analyzes the existing problems. Thirdly, the basic situation and progress of control methods for the hypersonic flight vehicle with several complex faults are summarized; Finally, for the future of hypersonic flight vehicle control with the diverse mission and complex environment, the future research issues and directions are further discussed.
