Wingsail. The wingsail includes a substantially rigid airfoil section having a leading and a trailing edge and a flap is attached to the trailing edge through a torsion fitting having a torsional stiffness along the span of the rigid airfoil section selected to control flap deflection with respect to the rigid airfoil section under aerodynamic loading to control rolling moment of the wingsail.
L'invention concerne une voile en forme d'aile. La voile en forme d'aile comprend une section de profil aérodynamique sensiblement rigide présentant un bord d'attaque et un bord de fuite et un rabat est fixé au bord de fuite par le biais d'un raccord de torsion présentant une rigidité en torsion le long de l'envergure de la section de profil aérodynamique rigide sélectionnée pour commander une déviation de rabat par rapport à la section de profil aérodynamique rigide sous une charge aérodynamique pour commander le moment de roulis de la voile en forme d'aile.
