To provide a vehicle seat which can protect a head of an occupant properly even during a local lateral collision in which a vehicle collides with an obstacle having a relatively small width, and to provide an occupant protection system including the vehicle seat.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat includes: a seat back 220 which supports an upper body of an occupant; and a headrest 230 which is disposed on the upper side of the seat back and supports a head H of the occupant. The vehicle seat includes a moving part which moves the headrest 230 relative to the seat back 220 so that the outer side as seen in a vehicle width direction is located at the front relative to the inner side as seen in the vehicle width direction. The structure allows the headrest 230 coming around to the outer side as seen in the vehicle width direction to support the outer side as seen in the vehicle width direction of the head H even if a force which rotates the head H from the front side to the inner side as seen in the vehicle width direction is input.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
【課題】比較的幅の小さい障害物に衝突する局所的な側面衝突の場合であっても、乗員の頭部を的確に保護することのできる車両用シート及びこれを備えた乗員保護システムを提供する。【解決手段】乗員の上体を支えるシートバック２２０と、シートバックの上方に配置され乗員の頭部Ｈを支えるヘッドレスト２３０と、を備えた車両用シートにおいて、ヘッドレスト２３０をシートバック２２０に対し、車幅方向外側が車幅方向内側よりも前方となるよう相対的に移動させる移動部を備え、頭部Ｈを前側から車幅方向内側へ回転させる入力が発生したとしても、車幅方向外側に回り込んだヘッドレスト２３０により頭部Ｈの車幅方向外側が支持されるようにした。【選択図】図７
