To provide a control device and a control method which can properly support the driving of a saddle-riding type vehicle.SOLUTION: In a control device and a control method according to the present invention, an acquisition unit (110) of the control device (100) acquires information on the basis of the output of an environment sensor (14) or through the wireless communication with another vehicle or an infrastructure facility, a control unit (120) of the control device (100) executes a driving support operation to a rider of a saddle-riding type vehicle (1) by using the information, a determination unit (130) of the control device (100) determines the presence/absence of a permission request of a function that causes an adverse effect in the public road traveling of the saddle-riding type vehicle (1) by using a determination reference, and the control unit (120) inhibits the driving support operation or executes the driving support operation in which the support performance for the rider is suppressed in comparison to a situation where the function is inhibited in a situation where the function is used in accordance with the determination result by the determination unit (130).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】本発明は、鞍乗り型車両の運転を適切に支援することができる制御装置及び制御方法を得るものである。【解決手段】本発明に係る制御装置及び制御方法では、制御装置（１００）の取得部（１１０）が、環境センサ（１４）の出力に基づいて、若しくは、他車両又はインフラストラクチャ設備との無線通信を介して情報を取得し、制御装置（１００）の制御部（１２０）が、上記情報を用いて鞍乗り型車両（１）のライダーに対する運転支援動作を実行し、更に、制御装置（１００）の判定部（１３０）が、判定基準を用いて、鞍乗り型車両（１）の公道走行で弊害となる機能の許可要求の有無を判定し、制御部（１２０）は、判定部（１３０）による判定結果に応じて、上記機能が使用される状況で、運転支援動作を禁止する、又は、上記機能が禁止された状況と比較してライダーに対する支援性が抑制された運転支援動作を実行する。【選択図】図１
