To provide a control device capable of executing online updating without impairing user convenience.SOLUTION: A control device comprises: a communication unit that communicates with an on-vehicle control device via an in-vehicle communication line; and a control unit that controls the communication unit. The control unit executes: acquisition processing for acquiring a first time and a second time; and determination processing for determining whether or not it is necessary to roll back to a control program before update in the on-vehicle control device in which the control program is being updated on the basis of a comparison result of the acquired first time and second time.
