PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance work support system for providing quickly, necessary information to a maintenance worker, and allowing a maintenance worker to perform a work safely, when, performing maintenance and management of a railway.SOLUTION: A maintenance work support system 1 comprises: a portable terminal 10 which a maintenance worker W carries; a server 20 which has a position conversion engine 21 capable of converting input information of a position P into information of prescribed plural kinds of modes of positions, including mileage; and a database 30 which accumulates information associated with the information of the position. The server 20 converts information of the position P input on the portable terminal 10, and the information of the position P of the portable terminal 10 measured by positioning means 12 into information of plural kinds of modes of positions by the position conversion engine 21, then retrieves and reads information associated with the information of the position in a prescribed range from the converted position, from the database 30 and then sends the information to the portable terminal 10, and the portable terminal 10 notifies a user of the sent information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】鉄道の保守、管理を行う際に、保守作業員らに必要な情報を迅速に提供し、保守作業員らが安全に作業を行うことを可能とする保守作業支援システムを提供する。【解決手段】保守作業支援システム１は、保守作業員Ｗが携帯する携帯端末１０と、入力された位置Ｐの情報を、キロ程を含む所定の複数種類の形態の位置の情報に変換可能な位置変換エンジン２１を備えるサーバ２０と、位置の情報と対応付けられた情報が蓄積されたデータベース３０とを備え、サーバ２０は、携帯端末１０で入力された位置Ｐの情報や、測位手段１２により測位された携帯端末１０の位置Ｐの情報を、位置変換エンジン２１で複数種類の形態の位置の情報に変換し、データベース３０から、変換した位置から所定の範囲内にある位置の情報と対応付けられている情報を検索して読み出して携帯端末１０に送信し、携帯端末１０は、送信されてきた情報を報知する。【選択図】図１
