PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance estimating device that is enabled to estimate with high accuracy over a wide range the distance between a transmitter and a receiver.SOLUTION: An arithmetic unit 39 multiplies frequency differences between signals SB of two frequencies at plural stages out of signals received by a receiver unit 42, and performs logical determination by comparing each of phase differences with a threshold. In this way, it is made possible to assess the values of phase differences Δφ in fine logical analysis. A processing control unit 41 estimates the master/slave distance according to the result of logical determination by the arithmetic unit 39. 【課題】送信装置と受信装置との間の距離を広範囲で高精度に推定できるようにした距離推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】演算部39は、受信部42により受信された信号のうち2つの周波数のシグナルSBの周波数差を複数段階に所定倍し、位相差をそれぞれ閾値と比較することで論理判定する。これにより位相差Δφの値を細かく論理化できる。処理制御部41は、演算部39の論理判定結果に応じてマスタスレーブ間の距離を推定する。このため、細かく論理化された位相差を用いて距離を推定できる。【選択図】図6
