PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for proximity detection, which allow for preventing a moving vehicle from taking an unnecessary evasive action and sacrificing safety thereof when a situation surrounding the moving vehicle changes.SOLUTION: A proximity detection device includes; an adjustment information database 14 that stores information indicative of formulas for obtaining predicted error distribution for paths of moving vehicles; a formula derivation unit 15 that derives a formula for obtaining a predicted error distribution for a path of the vehicle from a prediction result of the path of the moving vehicle; a formula adjustment unit 16 which, when parameters of the formula derived by the formula derivation unit 15 are different from parameters of a corresponding formula stored in the adjustment information database 14, adjusts the parameters of the formula stored in the adjustment information database 14 using adjustment values; and a proximity detection unit 17 that computes a probability of proximity between moving vehicles using the path prediction result and the formula for the predicted error distribution stored in the adjustment information database 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】移動体に関わる状況が変化しても、移動体の不要な接近回避行動の発生及び移動体の安全性の低下を防止する。【解決手段】移動体の軌道の予測誤差分布の算出式を示す情報を格納する調整情報データベース１４と、移動体の軌道予測結果から、当該移動体の軌道の予測誤差分布の算出式を導出する算出式導出部１５と、算出式導出部１５により導出された算出式のパラメータと調整情報データベース１４に格納された該当する算出式のパラメータとに差がある場合に、当該調整情報データベース１４に格納された算出式のパラメータを調整値により調整する算出式調整部１６と、軌道予測結果と調整情報データベース１４に格納された予測誤差分布の算出式とを用いて、移動体間の接近確率を算出する接近検出部１７とを備えた。【選択図】図１
