PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frontal crash airbag device capable of deploying an airbag in front of a passenger in a short time at a time of an oblique crash or a small overlap crash.SOLUTION: A driver seat airbag device 10 includes: an airbag 20 supported by a steering column 16 in front of a driver seat 12, and inflated and deployed toward the driver seat 12 by supplying gas to the airbag 20 from an inflator 24; and a movable support structure 28 provided between the steering column 16 and the airbag 20. The movable support structure 28 vibrates the airbag 20 toward a crash side in a vehicle width direction relative to the steering column 16 by using a backward force acting on the airbag 20 in response to inflation and deployment of the airbag 20 by the gas supplied to the airbag 20 during an oblique crash or a small overlap crash.
【課題】斜め衝突又は微小ラップ衝突の際に、エアバッグを短時間で乗員の前方で展開させることができる前面衝突用エアバッグ装置を得る。【解決手段】運転席用エアバッグ装置１０は、運転席１２に対する前方でステアリングコラム１６に支持され、インフレータ２４からのガス供給によって運転席側に向けて膨張、展開されるエアバッグ２０と、ステアリングコラム１６とエアバッグ２０との間に設けられた可動支持構造２８とを備えている。可動支持構造２８は、斜め衝突又は微小ラップ衝突の際に、エアバッグ２０がガス供給による膨張、展開に伴って受ける後方への力を利用して、エアバッグ２０をステアリングコラム１６に対し車幅方向の衝突側に向けて揺動させる。【選択図】図１
