    The invention relates to an air vent (10) for ventilating an interior (12) of a vehicle, comprising a housing (14) through which air can flow in order to ventilate the interior (12), comprising a flow body (20) which is arranged in the housing (14) and around which the air can flow, and comprising a guide flap (24) which is arranged upstream of the flow body (20), can move relative to the housing (14) and relative to the flow body (20) and can be used to adjust an outflow direction (26) in which the air flows out of the air vent (10), wherein the flow body (20) can be moved translationally relative to the housing (14), as a result of which it is possible to adjust an air vent (10) flow cross-section (Q) through which air can flow and which is located in the housing (14).
