Aircraft fuel system (400) including a fuel vessel (408) containing a non-mixture fuel. A protective vessel (412) is arranged about the fuel vessel (408) such that the fuel vessel is contained within the protective vessel and a protective space (416) is defined between an outer surface of a vessel wall (410) of the fuel vessel and an inner surface of a vessel wall (414) of the protective vessel. At least one mounting structure (415) fixedly positions the fuel vessel (408) within the protective vessel (412). A fuel consumption device (404) configured to consume the non-mixture fuel. A fuel output (420) fluidly connects an interior of the fuel vessel (408) to the fuel consumption device (404), the fuel output (420) being fluidly isolated from the protective space (416). A relief output (422) fluidly connects the protective space (416) to a relief flow path (424), the relief output (422) and relief flow path (424) configured to vent gas from the protective space (416) and remove any non-mixture fuel from the protective space (416).
