The invention relates to a manufacturing method of guide rail with T-shaped cross section. The guide rail has a first leg, the first end of which is connected to the longitudinal side of the second leg, and a second leg. The guide rail is roll-formed from a flat metal strip in such a way that the metal strip is bent at 180 DEG in a bending area and the second end of which is connected to the longitudinal side of the second leg. The bending area forms a second end, far away from the second supporting leg, of the first supporting leg; wherein two overlapping regions of the metal strip adjacent to the bending area are aligned in parallel by 180-degree bending in the bending area, the two overlapping regions form a first leg in an overlapping manner, and two regions of the metal strip adjacentto the overlapping regions and away from the bending area are bent by 90 degrees in opposite directions from the longitudinal direction of the overlapping regions, and the two regions of the metal strip form a second leg in an overlapping manner. The two regions are referred to as branch legs and form the second leg. According to the invention, the metal strip is bent in the bending region in such a way that the inner side of the overlapping region is in direct surface contact.
