The invention discloses a trailer coupler which comprises a mounting seat, a trailer hook, a driving shaft and a driven shaft, the driven shaft is rotatably mounted on the mounting seat and drives the trailer hook to rotate so that the trailer hook can be switched between a folded position and an unfolded position, the driving shaft is a cam shaft, and the trailer coupler further comprises a self-locking sliding block capable of sliding in the radial direction of the cam shaft. The mounting seat is provided with a lock pin capable of axially moving along the driven shaft, the tow hook is provided with a lock groove, and when the tow hook is located at the folding position or the unfolding position, the self-locking sliding block stops the lock pin so that the lock pin can be matched with the lock groove to lock the tow hook, and the cam shaft has an idle stroke for idling and a working stroke for driving the driven shaft to rotate. When the cam shaft is in an idle stroke, the cam shaft drives the self-locking sliding block to move so that the self-locking sliding block can relieve stopping of the lock pin, and when the cam shaft is in a working stroke, the driven shaft can drive the trailer hook to rotate so as to drive the lock pin to move and break away from the lock groove.
