The present disclosure relates to a method (100) to be executed by an electronic control device of a first vehicle, the method has the following steps:-object data (do1 + df1) based on sensor information (do1) from at least one sensor of the first vehicle and/or based on fused sensor information from at least two sensors of the first vehicle by means of an inspection device of the first vehicle performing a check (102) of a trajectory of the first vehicle with respect to a potential safety-critical traffic condition, the trajectory being planned in cooperation with a second vehicle; and outputting (104) a signal for initiating a security measure or executing the planned trajectory as a function of a result of the checking.
