Provided is a load compensation device capable of achieving higher convenience. A load compensation device (1) is provided with a support section (10), a first link (20), a wire (60), and a torque imparting section (80). The first link (20) applies the weight of an object serving as a load on one end side with respect to a rotation center serving as a fulcrum in the support section (10), and inputs a force for load compensation on the other end side. The wire (60) is bridged between the position of the fulcrum of the first link (20) and the position at which the force for load compensation is input, extends vertically downward from the position of the fulcrum of the first link (20) and the position at which the force for load compensation is input, and has one end fixed. The torque imparting unit (80) imparts a torque for winding the other end of the wire (60).
