The invention relates to an shaft drive for a vehicle having at least one drivable axle, the shaft drive comprising a drive shaft which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle from a first side of the shaft drive to a second side of the shaft drive, the drive shaft being designed to receive drive power of an electric motor arranged on the first side of the shaft drive and outputs the drive power to a driven shaft on the second side of the shaft drive, and the driven shaft extending on the second side of the shaft drive in an offset manner relative to the drive shaft and driven to output the drive power to the axle by a bevel gear directed in the direction of the first side. The shaft drive further comprises a brake, in particular a parking brake, having a brake disc, which is arranged on the drive shaft or the driven shaft on the second side of the shaft drive in a directed manner away from the first side.
