The invention relates to an air inlet grille unit and an active air inlet grille thereof.The air inlet grille unit comprises a motor support, a grille frame, at least two driving motors and blades, the grille frame surrounds the motor support in the circumferential direction, and the blades are arranged on the two sides of the motor support in the horizontal direction in an array mode; and the two ends of each blade are rotationally connected to the grille frame and the motor support correspondingly, the blades located on the two sides of the motor support incline towards the same side in the direction away from the motor support, and the driving motor is connected to the motor support and used for controlling the blades on the two sides to rotate correspondingly. Each blade comprises a connecting rod and wind blocking pieces arranged on the connecting rod at intervals, and the wind blocking pieces of any blade are arranged between the adjacent wind blocking pieces of the adjacent blades in a penetrating mode. The air inlet grille unit has the effect that the blades which are not on the same plane can be controlled to rotate.
