The invention discloses an intelligent transportation robot based on the Internet of Things. The intelligent transportation robot comprises a base, two walking grooves are formed in the lower end of the base, walking devices are arranged in the two walking grooves, a transportation box is fixedly connected to the upper end of the base, a placing groove is formed in the upper end of the transportation box in a penetrating mode, and a carrying plate is arranged in the placing groove; a limiting column is fixedly connected to the lower end of the carrying plate, a first transmission mechanism isfixedly connected to the lower end of the limiting column, a fixing rod is fixedly connected to the side wall of the limiting column, an elastic device is fixedly connected to the lower end of the fixing rod, and a fixing plate is fixedly connected to the inner wall of the placing groove; and a second transmission mechanism is rotatably connected to the side wall of the fixing plate, a device groove is formed in the base in a penetrating mode, and a control switch is arranged at the inner bottom of the device groove. The intelligent transportation robot is reasonable in structural design and has the advantage that the transportation robot can autonomously and circularly transport goods under the condition that no extra electric drive is arranged.
