The invention relates to the technical field of traffic warning control, and provides an intelligent traffic early warning system which comprises a guardrail patrol machine, a tunnel patrol machine, agateway robot, an acousto-optic early warning system and a background server. The guardrail patrol machine is installed on a road guardrail and used for sending preset early warning information to the background server. The tunnel patrol machine is installed at a preset position of a tunnel and used for obtaining preset vehicle violation information, preset tunnel foreign matter information, airquality concentration and preset traffic image information in the current tunnel and uploading the information to the background server. The gateway opening robot is arranged at a preset position of agateway and used for acquiring preset vehicle information at the current gateway opening and uploading the acquired preset vehicle information to the background server, and the acousto-optic early warning system is used for receiving a preset alarm signal and carrying out corresponding sound and light early warning according to the received preset alarm signal. The system is intelligent in monitoring of high-speed traffic, high in safety and high in convenience.
