Core of lighting problem was to provide (for finger area used in handling passengers and freight) adequate night illumination which would permit easy parking of planes, safe, rapid boarding and deplaning, and efficient handling of freight and baggage; studies and calculations undertaken and selection of final luminaire design with brackets holding 1000-w mercury units at top, 400-w unit in "V"; final arrangement and ft-c level as measured on completed installation is shown.
