Few studies have been found to analyze the conflicts between right-turn vehicles and pedestrians at signalized intersections where right-turn on red is permitted. However, a better understanding of the factors that affect the likelihood of the conflicts would help provide direction for countermeasures aimed at reducing the number of crashes. This paper proposes a model to describe the relation between traffic conflicts and influencing factors with different right-turn radiuses using Poisson regression methodology. The modeling results show the impacts of traffic volume and right-turn radius on the occurrences of conflicts between right-turn vehicles and pedestrians. It is found that the increase of vehicle and pedestrian flow, will increase the number of conflicts, but will decrease the conflict rate per hundred pedestrian. Meanwhile, the number of severe conflicts at large radius is higher than that at small radius.
