Statistics show that goods traffic and private vehicle use are ever increasing. Preservation of energy resources is important to protect the environment. Our main goal is to develop software which can assist in the production of non-polluting and more efficient vehicles. With the aid of this vehicle integration software, which is able to calculate the most efficient operating conditions of a vehicle, better energy resource management can be achieved. The vehicle integration system KULI II has been developed in order to examine energy consumption, exhaust emissions and the thermodynamic equilibrium of entire vehicles. The paper describes the four software packages included in this system. WAPU, STROMI and KULI (n-model) are currently used as single design tools to assist in the analysis of components such as water pump, piping, cooling system. FASI is used to assist in the calculated driving simulation.
