A low-power active suspension and its bounce and cross model performance
The paper contains a lay-out of an active suspension with electric and hydraulic elements including the in-serial spring and the parallel spring with static control, body acceleration and wheel-body displacement pick-ups. The scheme of the suspension is given as well as the motion equations of the bounce model and the cross (four-wheel) model of the vehicle, both with wheel, body and seat. The suspension performance is shown by means of effective values. Power consumptions are stated by steady ride and by transient horizontal acceleration.
