This paper reports on experimental investigations of long haul NRZ 2.5 Gbit/s WDM transmission. the influence of the main parameters such as chromaticdispersion, channel spacing and repeater output has been considered on 6000 km, 8 x 2.5 Gbit7s straight-line test-bed. Wavelength routing has been achieved through the implementation of a wavelength add/drop function in the link.
