Considering the requirements of the universal tire-road-model as described in the introduction, the implemented Simpack user force element does fulfil all these demands. The NURBS surface allows representing simple geometries just as faultless roller drums as well as high detailed road surfaces. Implementing an effective surface point calculation method in combination with the simplex downhill method leads to optimised computing time. Simulating test benches was realised by consistent calculation of relative transformations from road object to wheel object. Some typical application samples show a few possibilities to use the universal tire-road-model. Successful implementation of single-point-contact tire-force approximation leads to the next step to extend the interface to simulate multi-point-contact tire-force methods.
