To reduce the long-term danger to the flights and improve the safety to environment, the electrical conductivity evanescence of the Ni-coated carbon fibers (CF) was studied. According to the theory analysis, Ni-coated carbon fibers were treated using FeCl3. The metal of the CF surface is oxidized when it is exposed to air moisture, so its conductivity reduces greatly. The different temperature, relative humidity and coat thickness are studied, what are the factors influencing the degrade rate of metal coat. The results show that under some temperature and humidity, the conductivity of the Ni-coated carbon fibers changes 10 % in 0.5 - 5.6 min, and it expends at least 44 minutes if the conductivity changes 95 %. Humidity influences the degrade rate of metal coat more than temperature.
