Calculation and experimental determination method of parts total unbalanced mass (TUM) influence on the wear index and wear irregularity index of crankshaft main bearings is developed. In case of applying the offered formulae and developed method expenditure on the research aimed at establishing laws of TUM influence of crank mechanism parts on the stated indexes are of 2,3 - 3,1 less than applying the existent one. Calculation and experimental as well as test values for 4,25 l engines practically do not differ. The obtained calculation and experimental data, offered formulae and discovered laws may be used to determine acceptable TUM of crank mechanism parts, if the criterion is its influence on the wear index and wear irregularity index of crankshaft main bearings. The derived mathematical dependences and the developed method can also be used in similar investigations of different designs and models of new and repaired automobile engines.
