This paper focuses on modal test and analyses performed on two versions of PARTENAVIA AP-68 TP twin turboprop general aviation aircraft. Stretching of the fuselage and under-carriage layout are significant differences between the versions. On the original version both 'Sine Sweep and Dwell' and 'Single Input Frequency Response Function (SIFRF)' methods were conducted. Only the last method was applied on the derived version. For both aircraft versions theoretical modal analysis was performed. The results obtained both from the tests and the computations have allowed us to draw interesting comparisons, principally related to: Sine-Dwell and SIFRF methodology; theory-experiments; differences of dynamic behaviour between the aircraft versions.
