Summary form only given, as follows. Offers an automatic attitude estimation technique for highly manoeuvrable spacecraft. The atitude determination system in composed of an inertial reference unit (IRU), two-degree-of-freedom star reference sensors, and onboard computer. As a result of the study, suitable algorithms for automatic attitude estimation have been developed. The attitude estimation algorithms are based upon Kalman filter combining measurement data from a set of star reference sensors to compensate the drift error of attitude reference frame.
