First, the recurrent and near-recurrent orbits are defined, and then there are shown the methods how to determine the orbital semi-major axis and period when the recurrent number, eccentricity and inclination of these orbits are given, and how to determine the orbital inclination, semi-major axis and period when the recurrent number and eccentricity of these orbits with invariable argument of perigee are given. A recurrent perigee orbit and a near-current perigee orbit are also defined, and the method of determination of orbital elements is shown. Some examples of recurrent orbits, which seem to be applicable to operational satellites, are considered and compared with stationary and Molniya satellite orbits. The possibility of an extremely low altitude sun synchronous near-recurrent orbit is discussed.
