A train could adopt various running patterns between stations even in the fixed running time. The requisite kinetic energy for the train operation, can be considered to vary in accordance with its patterns, therefore, we have a possibility of an analytical control method which minimizes the requisite energy in a fixed operation schedule. In train operation control, it is well known that the powering energy of a train is minimized by a bang-bang control if the train moving energy can be regenerated in it's brake operation, while in case of no regeneration of the energy, a train should be operated to minimize its kinetic powering energy in another way. Our simple model make possible to show those differences. The results of a quasi-minimum energy operation control is simulated on a special existing line in the JNR.
