Aiming at the guidance and control system of Electromagnetic railgun projectile, a pulse-jet control scheme based on the trajectory impact point prediction is explored. Firstly, the 3-D model of the projectile’s particle motion is simplified based on certain assumptions. The approximate coordinates of the impact point are obtained by the point-by-point approximate method of the function value. Secondly, a control scheme that a lateral pulse-jet ring is installed near the nose of the projectiles is provide, and the pulse-jet control strategy is designed based on the impact point prediction. Lastly, considering an electromagnetic projectile as an example, the uncontrolled trajectory and the closed-loop trajectory in which 8 disturbances are introduced have been simulated by using the Monte Carlo method. The simulation results indicate that the prediction of tgo (time-to-go) and impact point coordinates converges to the true value with the time and that the pulse-jet control method is significantly beneficial to reduce the CEP. It has provided a reference for the personnel engaged in the trajectory research of pulse-jet control technology.
