The nanoscale science area is increasing over the last two decades. The ability to control and restructure matter at the atomic and molecular levels is referred to as nanotechnology. It has a large surface-to-volume ratio for equipment development and molecular discovery in the atomic level for increasing development and product manufacturing. In the field of communication engineering, the many solutions are found by the help of nanotechnology. It provides the solution for the power-efficient device, more sensing elements, builds up memory, and human-to-machine interaction. This paper is focused on the different types of structures of the nanomaterial and later that it also provides a brief idea about the potential application in various fields of nanotechnology. It discussed the type of application of nanotechnology and nanosensor techniques in nano communication. Nanoantennas are used as the sensing part for the ability of effectively broadcasting, and spatial optical fields. Nanoparticles are highly used in the field of nanoantennas. The paper represents the application of nanomaterial in the field of wireless communications using antenna design. This paper provides an overview and analyzes the microstrip antenna design in nanotechnology using different nanostructures, and it also discusses about the performance of the microstrip antenna under different subtract configurations.
