In India, two-wheelers have become a necessity rather than a luxury. The two-wheeler culture demands affordable commutes that also ensure a peaceful lifestyle. With urbanization and industrialization, emerging countries like India now produce more than a million-dollar worth of two-wheelers and motors annually. As the number of commuters increases, safety and comfort must be considered. In a developing country, affordable and practical solutions are preferred over expensive, pleasant, and secure commuting options. However, as manufacturers compete to create more affordable riding solutions, comfort and safety are often compromised. Additionally, aesthetically pleasing solutions are given more preference, even if they cause discomfort. The current research investigated the efforts made by researchers for seat height adjustment for comfort and safety. Currently, many riders alter the foam thickness for seat height adjustment. Therefore, the study is made to analyze the effect of change in foam thickness in view of seat height adjustment on vibration damping. It is observed that a reduction in the thickness of foam increases the natural frequency and amplitude of the seat resulting in the weakening of vibration-damping capacity of the seat. So, it needs to find an alternative solution which can adjust the seat height without affecting the vibration-damping capacity of the seat.
